  • 2025 Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra Audition

    In 2000, Seiji Ozawa founded the Music Academy with the goal of nurturing young musicians through opera. One of Ozawa’s mentors, Maestro von Karajan, used to say, “Symphony and opera are the two inseparable supports of music.” Ozawa made this his philosophy and puts it into practice once a year with the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy.
    The 2025 Opera Project will feature Verdi: Opera “La Traviata”.
    The Academy Orchestra also performs at the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival held in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.

    Applications are now open for violin, viola and cello in all those of Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei.

    Since 2000, the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy has been devoted to the education of young musicians every year and has achieved great results through opera productions.
